New Wave Outpost Forum

The season is upon us. New Wave, being edgy by nature, produced some great dark singles for the goth in all of us. At my haunt the following are in constant rotation. Which is your favorite? Or post your favorite(s)...

I don't see my favorite: "Halloween" by Japan.

I love this poll! Excellent idea! My first choice is Everyday is Halloween by Ministry, so I opted for my second Bela Lugosi's Dead by Bauhaus.

When the sun goes down and the moon comes up
I turn into a teenaged goo goo muck

I voted for "Dead Man's Party", but where's "Like a Ghost" by Ignatius Jones?

I voted for "The Killing Moon" because that is one of my favorite dark songs ever, and because I saw Echo & The Bunnymen live in Atlanta over the summer.

But where is "Every Day Is Halloween"? That's the one I played a bunch of times last year during the All Hallow's Eve season...

I guess it's a cyclical thing: we ask for Halloween New Wave songs, and then Turkey Day songs, and then Xmas ones, all capitalized by "Last Christmas" and "Do They Know It's Christmas"...

Awesome Topic!!!! Halloween is my favorite Holiday and there are fantastic songs that blend so well with the season. I'm impressed by some of the choices. I guess, my vote would be for "The Munsters' Theme" by The Comateens. Also, I really have a thing for Dead Or Alive's "Something In My House". And, although not considered New Wave, but "Cry Little Sister (Theme From The Lost Boys)" by Gerard McMann is another favorite. Can't forget Book of Love's "Witchcraft" and "Tubular Bells" either. So many!!!!

Scary Thieves - Halloween.

FarFetch.

I Want Candy!

Where's Ministry's "Everday is Halloween"? Where is "The Time Warp?" There's a lot missing here.

"It's Halloween" by The Shaggs.

Hands down, the best Halloween song ever.
