Help needed - scooter mixes

Postby troutbreath » Sat Sep 30, 2006 11:33 am

All,

Here is the scoop. Just tonight I was able to get my 1985 Elite 80 scooter running. I had been in storage so long that the KJET sticker on the back of the seat is still in mint condition.

Anyway, I am going to try and ride her to work a few times before the snow flies. The ride is about 35 minutes one way. With no radio, I will be filling my MP3 player with tunes for the ride. Tonight was a lot of Anything box with "I'm turning Japanese" thrown in.

If you had to put together 35-45 minutes of music for a commute on a scooter, what would you play.

TIA,

TB

I drive a scooter to work and have found that it is too loud for my earpieces. Hope yours is more quiet than my Baccio.

Noise is certianly part of it.

I have to put a new air filter on before I can find out how quited the ride will realy be. But, I know that I will have to use songs that wont be totally lost because of engine or background noise.
For instance, Elvis Costello's version of "Shipbuilding" is really cool, but would never make it over. I know I will have to use some DEVO and maybe a little Oingo Boingo. Things with a good beat that will survive the din.
