Introduction

Hey fellow new wave fans. I just wanted to introduce myself and say what a great forum you've got here. Very complete. Anyway, I look forward to joining in n the discussions here. My favorite bands include Depeche Mode, Gene Loves Jezebel, Dial M, Missing persons, Golden Earring, etccc. Also, I'm very much into HiFi and thought it would be cool to know who's got the killer systems on here. I personally run all vintage systems, mainly higher-end Pioneer, Fisher, and Sansui. Ok, thanks for reading this , haha. Take care!

Its funny, but as much as I am into music and vinyl i really have a crappy stereo system cobbled together from garage sales and hand-me-downs.

Technics SLBD-1 turntable
Radio Shack/Realistic STA2270 amp/tuner
JVC XL-Z411 CD player (single disc)
and some really nasty Fisher speakers with all the fake oak laminate peeled off revealing the particle board cabinets

Hello Mr Tomman888,Golden Earring way cool band.Good choices on your system.I to like the older reliable brands I have a Yamaha/Kenwood mix.Just last night my brother in law gave me a Nakamichi tape deck he bought in the late 80,s and said he never used more than a few dozen times.Don,t know much about Nakamichi but it looks slick.

Hi all:

Almost 16 years later!

I am up to ~3600 LPs at this point and still collecting! Glad to see this forum is still around.
Hope you are all well.

I joined this website about 2004/2005. At that time, the rarer New Wave material was still generally unreleased on CD. Since then, almost everything I loved back in the day can be found on CD. Last time I visited was 2014. I was quite surprised when my 2014 password still worked to get onto this website. I hope to be a more frequent flyer again.
