Wednesday October 25 tune in to XM Radio if you are a subscriber and listen to my new wave/post punk hour on Channel 44, Fred. The show is called Surface Noise. I introduce & talk about 12 different songs on the program.

Some that I remember that I played are:
OMD - Crush
Tones on Tail - Twist
Joy Division - Gutz
Echo & the Bunnymen - Bedbugs & Ballyhoo
Naked Eyes - Very Hard Act to Follow
Time Zone Afrika Bambataa & Johnny Lydon - World Destruction
Gary Numan- Bombers
Front 242 - Geography II
---the rest I forgot.

Hope you like it! This was my first time on radio and I should be doing more shows.

Recommend! Recommend! I was a regular listener to Surface Noise when it was a brand new show back in 2003, and only became an occassional listener because they then played the same repeats over and over. It's a wonderful show and quite a treat. I look foward to hearing DJ Shred's approach to the should be famed "Surface Noise" [8D]

... this is my ringtone on my mobile - you should see the looks on peoples' faces when it goes off! Even funnier is trying to get mates trying to 'sing' it! "Hmmm-hmmm, bow-bow-bow, da-duh-dah!". I think McCluskey once said that it was based on a load of Japanese TV ads that he recorded off the TV when he was touring in Japan, and later spliced together to amke that fantastically unearthly racket.

Yea that's what McClusky said in the OMD video Crush, they mention that in their documentary video so you are right.
