Honey Bane - "Turn Me On, Turn Me Off"

I was just cruising through YouTube.com (Than God for that site!) and rediscovered this song that I had almost completely forgotten about for years. The song is "Turn Me On Turn, Me Off" by Honey Bane from 1981 and was produced by Jimmy Pursey (Sham 69). I rememeber reading about her years and years ago and recalled her connections to Crass and the British anarcho-punk scene of the late 1970s, but had all but forgotten this little new wave gem recorded when she was just 16. So damn cute!

Also, I would be forever in gratitude if someone was willing to share or swap the mp3 of this if they have it.

Sorry I can't hook you up Ex-Rat, but count me in as wanting a copy of the song.
It's a good one, I haven't thought of her in about 25 years.

Honey Bane was the daughter of one of the women in The Poison Girls. Honey went on to star in "adult" films.

NOT SAFE FOR WORK!!!

She's been singing in a metal band called Dog Tooth Violet as of late.

Thanks for sharing!

This song brings to my mind a recurring question.

There are so many interesting songs and bands from 77-83 (ish) that I'm still discovering today. How could so much great music have been generated during this time? Especially in contrast to the bleak musical landscape of the present day?

Actually, even today a tremendous amount of diverse and excellent music continues, just not ever on radio or promoted. But it is there as always IMO. Most of what I like and find never comes close to radio play, but is great to say the least.
