New Wave Outpost Forum

Okay, here's a different variation of what some out there may call "the cheese" and it focuses more on the one or two (maybe three) hit wonders. To widdle this down to what people may recognize, I've focused what has shown up on compilations, what has certainly crossed over on new wave stations on KROQ, etc. It's not perfect. And I expect some to say a certain track is not really Italo Disco (I think I picked ones that fit or come close and very likely was played in Discos in Italy back in the day, okay)?

Once again, the rules are the same. Take your least favorite song off the list, try to say something clever as to why (if you can), then relist, until the Italo Disco classic of all classics is revealed. If by chance I missed something that is very, very recognizable, I will be happy to add it on the list--but only early in the game (say before there's seventeen left).

Even though Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis stole the "ooh-ooh-ooh" from the Video Kids, Janet Jackson stardom was still launched-- and a Woody Woodpecker laugh probably doesn't help, either, so drop 25.Video Kids--Woodpeckers From Space
