I just love the added value of a DVD packaged with my CD. Are there any good ones out there you want to share with the community? Here are a few of mine:

- Annie Lennox, Bare
- Dave Gahan, Paper Monsters
- RHCP, Stadium Arcadium (This one is amazing. The band gives a song by song commentary. A bit tedious at times but fascinating, nevertheless.)
- Depeche Mode, Playing the Angel
- Morrissey, Ringleader of the Tormentors

DEVO - Live 1980

Okay, the cd side of the disc is of the exact same concert on the dvd side, but it's DEVO, so it's all good.

Nick Cave has a two dvd/two cd live set coming out in January from the Abbatoir Blues tour (which included a gospel choir on backup vocals). This set is on the top of my must buy list. Details here:

Funny, this just arrived the other day ... the Argentina pressing! Of course, I wanted the EU pressing. Got it from BangCD.

"Speak and Spell" and "A Broken Frame" have really great documentaries on the DVD. Worth getting just for those.

If you're looking for value, Duran Duran's Greatest comes with a DVD of their videos. The US version has up to Wild Boys, whereas the R2 versions have everything that's on the double DVD set (excluding the extras). Not 80s but there's Massive Attack DualDisc, with all their videos on the DVD side. I picked up Pat Benetar Best Shots and Huey Lewis Greatest for the videos :).

Fuzzbox - Look at the Hits on That! ... can't get the videos on DVD anywhere else.

<font size=1>If you think your signature is cool, then most likely, it is actually annoying.[/i]

I embarrassed to say the only one I have is the Blondie "Best Of" that came out earlier this year. But I do like it, even though a few songs are left off.

Mute are pleased to announce the release of the long-awaited Fad Gadget by Frank Tovey project on 11th September 2006

The 2 DVD and 2 CD package features an exclusive new documentary covering Tovey's life and career up to his untimely death in 2002. It will also include rare and unreleased tracks and live footage of legendary performances, as well as classic songs recorded both under his own name and his alter ego, Fad Gadget. Put together by Frank's family in conjunction with Mute, utilising the Mute and family archives, this collection features the very first Fad Gadget demos and footage of the rebirthed Fad Gadget supporting Depeche Mode in 2001.

Fad Gadget, who alongside Human League, Cabaret Voltaire and The Normal, was at the forefront of the Electronic Movement of the late 70s/early 80s. The first signing to the Mute label, Fad Gadget released his debut single, the ground breaking, 'Back To Nature' in October 1979. Recorded using a drum machine and synthesiser a string of classic singles followed including 'Ricky#65533;s Hand#65533;, 'Fireside Favourite#65533; and #65533;Collapsing New People#65533;. A truly unique artist his live shows were legendary and quickly established Fad Gadget as one of the most exciting acts of the time.

After four critically acclaimed albums as Fad Gadget, Tovey dropped the moniker and recorded a further five albums for Mute under his own name and with the Pyros throughout the #65533;80s and early #65533;90s. He continued to experiment with many different styles, mixing electronics with Rock, Punk, Folk and Dance Music.
