The Nightclub That Put Matt Pinfield On The Map

Postby hubcity » Fri Feb 23, 2007 1:29 am

Folks,

That's The Melody Bar in New Brunswick, NJ...or at least it was until its untimely meeting with a wrecking ball in 2000. From 1982 to 1992, Pinfield set its musical course, and it's pretty much the same course steered here at NWO.

It made such a huge impression on its regulars that, last Saturday, a spectacularly successful reunion was had (at the Loop Lounge in Passaic, NJ) Attendance was in the hundreds, even with a 35+ age restriction.

And at this very moment, Altrok Radio is playing back the live feed from the decks - five hours of live club mayhem straight outta the critical '85-'92 period, just as it happened at Passaic NJ's Loop Lounge. (With the occasional identifier thrown in just so's ya know who you're listening to.) Your DJs: Ed Wong, Pete Santiago, Lisa Uber, Andrew Prescott, Bruce Ciccone and Pat Pierson.

(Definitely check out the slideshow, too - you won't believe some of the folks who're in those pics...)

Where's all this at? Altrok Radio. Go ahead...click the link...
