Waukena is the one to ask about these guys.

<font face="arial" size="3" color="black"> The band included some Adam & The Ants members. There are few songs of the M. Set I really enjoyed when I discovered them few years ago. "The Rulling Class" and "Milk and Honey". Still not easy to classify their music!

They were always a very interesting band. Their best of albums are available at amazon. Two songs well worth checking out are:

"The Mating Game" - some of the funniest lyrics you'll ever hear. And one hell of a catchy chorus

"Cast A Long Shadow" - cowboy guitar twang, more fantastic fun from a band that was all about having a good time

I first heard The Monochrome Set in our local rock station NU 107 thru their program Groove Nation Sessions. Pretty nice band.

"Cast A long Shadow" is a good song. I also liked the first song I ever heard from them called "Monochrome Set".

itunes has a lot of their music available. I was actually surprised to see that.

I got one of their best ofs and it's decent enough stuff, the singer tries to fit too much in at times it does seem that the singer is showing off his lexicon for the sake.

Still though, I am surprised they didn't get a pull over Jacob's Ladder as there are parts of the song that sound like a jaunty version of Jerusalem..

Their best album is The Lost Weekend, released in 1985. It was available for a short time on CD in Japan (which I have), though it's now long gone.
