When Springsteen got huge, John Cafferty rode the wave with the Boss sound-a-like, "On The Dark Side".
Camoflage was practically a Depeche Mode tribute band.
The Los Angeles Times used to cleverly refer to The Alarm as U 1 & 1/2.
