something tells me in this category Heaven 17 would be the favorite of members here..
but what do people think of Level 42? They don't get mentioned here often and are more into softer pop/funk category...but I like them, especially Lessons in Love..[:D]
also there are:
U2
One-Two-Three
One to One
what else?

lol 2 Live Crew, apparently been around since the 80's, I just checked [:D]
recently there's been a few of post-grunge/punk-pop bands with numbers, ie 3 Doors Down, Third Eye Blind, Eve 6, Blink 182, Sum 41.... not really 80's but oh well

... so basically if you had a '90s 'alternative' band that sucked hard donkey, chances are there was a number in the name.
