I never cared for the Human League, but when they took Phil Oakey out and let Martin rough up the tracks for the "League Unlimited Orchestra" it was a great production work. R.I.P.

At the time of his death, Rushent was working on a 30th anniversary version of Dare, remixed as with Love and Dancing but using musical instruments instead of synthesizers

Aw man, that is a great loss.! RIP. Wonder what did it? The BBC article didn't mention it . I have a great amount of material which he produced, remixed, or was involved with producing...some that come to mind are of course the Human League material, but on a darker note, a band named 'Vision' that did Lucifer's Friend and Tears, Idle Tears. That has got to be one of my favorite 12" singles.

Also it seems maybe Martin's last released production work for another artist (other than his son's project) was for Soft Cell's Dave Ball new project Celine and the Nitewreckers.

Martin did so much more than the Human league
Altered Images / Pete Shelley Go Go's Xtc spring to mind but yeah me is devastated

He will be missed
