I've been adding my record collection to Discogs and I'm not even half way done.
My other records are in storage and I've started entering some CD's.
Along the way, I've come across about 100 plus pieces that I own that have to be entered and scanned, as they aren't in their database.

I'm curious if anyone else here has their collection entered at Discogs?

Here's my collection, but I must warn you, I have many copies of some items.
If it was 2 or 3 dollars, it's always a good investment for trading (hint).
Also, don't be critical of my non-New Wave records.
I like Disco, ELO and similar music.

I had to use "Jimmie2" as my user name, someone else beat me to Jim2.

My 7" collection is there, although the 12", CD, Cassette, Beta, Laserdisc, DVD, VHS and other miscellaneous parts of my collection are slowly being entered.

does the order in which the items are listed reflect when they were entered in the database?

I'm using it as well, but have only entered 18 items thus far.

Lists are usually arranged alphabetically, but can be changed by clicking the headers at the top of the list. (Artist, Title, etc.)

I'm impressed. So many 7 inchers I've never seen before.
Adam & the Ants, Cure, FTGH, New Order and Yello!!!
I have entered a few 45's, but again I know many of them are not in their DB.

Anyone else??

I just tried to enter Miniature Tigers "Mia Pharoah" but they don't have the cd in the database, just the vinyl album

The more active I am on Discogs, the more bonkers I get. It gets crazy when arguing over minutiae (based on the guidelines, of course, and not what is reality). I get the impression that a lot of the decision-makers have given up, and it's kind of a free-for-all. It's still a useful tool, though. I have my vinyls and CD listed in HTML, and have made hyperlinks to the appropriate Discogs entry.

I use it for data on who produced, engineered, who is on the recording, where it was recorded, what label and who is responsible for the artwork (cover).

As for a database of my collection, I use rateyourmusic.com

My mp3 tags have all of this info stored in them.

A large portion of my vinyl is now cataloged.
800+ entries need to be created because they are not yet in the Discogs database.

Be glad you didn't start doing this ten years ago. There's been a lot of stuff added during that period. I started doing my CDs back then (as I didn't have as many CDs as vinyl back then), and lots were missing. I finally started doing my vinyl a couple of years ago, and was quite surprised how many were actually in the database already.

My favorite is an item in the DB that nobody owns a copy until I add it to my collection and I notice there are 2 for sale:
