On the 30th anniversary of Valley Girl, I'm sure everyone here thought there should have been a soundtrack. I've been putting together the 11 tracks I think were the intended album, but here's some others that don't exist:

Ferris Bueller's Day Off: No. Really. There is no soundtrack album for this film.

16 Candles-This one only got a five song EP release.

Teen Wolf, Too: Crappy sequel to a cute movie, but far superior soundtrack.

Surf II: The awfulness of this movie and the fact that it sunk on release killed what could have been a great soundtrack. It even has an Oingo Boingo song that was never released anywhere.

Last American Virgin needed to be a 2-LP set. More songs were left off the soundtrack than included.

Now that I know that The Plimsouls were on the movie but not the record, I would have to agree.

The movie was released April 29, 1983. The soundtrack was released almost two weeks prior, on April 8, 1983.

There was a limited release EP that had to be stopped because Martha Coolidge didn't really have the music clearances. There was also a British album release. They are both pretty rare.
