in light of Agnetha's new album this year I decided to create this thread... though very safe and standard pop, it is very melodic...

never understood why 80's solos from Agnetha and Frida were not bigger hits in US... some very good pop/AOR tracks on those with writers such as Holly Knight, Russ Ballard, Phil Collins, Bryan Ferry..

I just love Agentha's I Can't Shake Loose and Wrap Your Arms Around Me from 1983..

ABBA were massive in Australia (even prompting the ABBA movie to be made here).. yet the only solo effort single I can remember ever doing anything was "somethings going on" by Frida.

As 'daggy' as ABBA may seem on the outset, their Music is amazingly well constructed, played and mixed with countless songs extremely easy to listen too across a wide audience cross section.

Not heard any of the new Agnetha gear as yet though...
