Indeed, I was sad, but not surprised , at Mark E. Smith's passing. He was a unique talent, especially when it came to lyric writing. Glad that I saw The Fall live a few times in the 1980's, and bought albums and singles as they were released. I drifted away from them around 1989 sort of time as I thought I had heard them at their best by that point .
