I just got it, and I agree! "You" is probably my favorite, along with "Mind Your Own Business"

I love Delta 5. I just wasn't thrilled with the mastered-from-vinyl quality of the the Rough Trade singles. Besides, my favorite song "Powerlines" is not included, nor is anything else from the Pre/Charisma label. I do like having the radio sessions. At least KRS had no choice but to draw those from tapes.
The Rough Trade Singles were all I had. As for mastered from vinal we may have to get used to it. Since the Origanl studio reels are harder to get a hold of and reel to reel machines are rare let alone the difficulty to fix when they break down

My favorite is "heart is a lonely hunter". Nice and night-time sounding tune.

This one's my favorite also. I think the 1981 album is good too, not sure why it gets bad mouthed all the time.

<br>Labels have to realize that all you need to do is burn a CD buyer once or twice with bad mastering, and you will ensure loss of sales for future releases. If you build a quality reputation then customers will return without hesitation.
This is very true. Now I am very cautious before buying any Cherry Red releases, whenever possible I try to ask the experts first. I never buy CD's that are mastered from vinyl, I mean why buy a crackly CD when you can do that yourself with less pops and clicks. The problem is you only find out after the purchase.

Any comments on the Avon Calling double CD, sound quality-wise?[:D]

A prime example of extremely shitty mastering is Cherry Red's release in the past few months of Ruefrex. All the hype for this release, and it is clearly from vinyl, and horrendous sounding, as if absolutely no attempt was made to reduce the noise. My own copy blows their release away, but I did not know it would be from vinyl. They should clearly state this fact up front wherever their releases are distributed. They do have some excellent sound quality releases, but Ruefrex is not one of them. It's hard to believe they would allow such trashy quality to leave their hands.

Excellent news. Thanks Quite.

Heard Delta 5 for the first time on college station WAMU-FM in Wash D.C. around 1981 and haven't stopped playing them since.

Mind Your Own Business will always be my favorite! Utterly fantastic song.
