Most Soulful Male Voice in New Wave

Postby SuNomi » Wed Jun 14, 2006 1:14 am

Here I go again! These are the talented gents who've made long careers (and in some corners, cults) out of their considerable vocal
range and distinctiveness. No screamers here, just a lot of heart.

I went with David Sylvain, though Sting's songs in Outlandos and Reggatta are very soulful.

< (to a certain extent thinks "soulful new wave" is a bit of an oxymoron so has not voted) [:p]

My vote goes first to Paul Weller followed by Sting plus an honorable NNNW mention to going Mick Hucknall (yeah, I know he's more pop / jazz)[;)]

I went with Sting.. for me he has a perfect voice. That's why I also like him as solo artist.

There are several up above who are wonderful vocalists to listen to. Ultimately I went with David Sylvian.

My fave for real, though, is Human League's Phil Oakey. Even though their (awesome) music wasn't really "soulful", his voice is. Mmmmm ![8D]

Shame!!! Sting sucks as a solo artist. I love the Police but hate Sting. I just might make an Anti Sting Police Page!

I'm sure there must be a Police fan page from argentina.
The New Order and Depeche Mode are good (the DM one is better).
