If you look back with awe and reverence on the music that 4AD, circa 1984-1986 (The Cocteau Twins, Xmal Deutschland, Colourbox, Dead Can Dance, The Wolfgang Press, The Birthday Party, Modern English, Clan Of Xymox, etc.), brought to the world then you absolutely must check out The Radium Screen.

In all my years posting to this board I have never once singled out a new, unsigned band that I am as moved by and as enamored with as I am by The Radium Screen.
I am so excited about these guys that we (The Ideal Copy) have asked the band to allow us to offer their debut EP "White Faces" to the world - with a money back guarantee! The most obvious audio points-of-reference are The Wolfgang Press/Gang Of Four/Bauhaus - but with an electronic and almost "dancey" edge. You can download one of the songs from the EP, Dirty Blonde, absolutely free! So if you like what you hear - the rest of the EP will not disappoint.
In the next week or so The Ideal Copy is going to send out an email devoted to exposing this band to the world and we will encourage all of our customers to start spreading the word. In the meantime, I would like to share this amazing band with my friends on The New Wave Outpost.
And as a disclaimer - to those that don't know me - this is not a spammy sales pitch. I'm not trying to cheaply promote a band I work with. My involvement with this band is purely on the fan level. I look back with such fondness to that era in the mid-80s when "alternative" was truly a flag-bearers music term and I would comb through the record bins at Moby Disc and Record Trader looking for Vaughan Oliver's 23 envelope art just to add another precious 4ad find to my collection. When I heard The Radium Screen it all came rushing back to me in one giant wave of teenage nostalgia. In a perfect world, The Radium Screen will be as big as The Killers.
