One of my all time favorite bands that hardly ever get talked about. Cold War Night Life is a classic. Their comeback album from late 90's was also excellent.

I just discovered them on the NWO this year, but so impressed I sought out and purchased Cold War Night Life and All Our Saturdays. I really like the older stuff the best - and the things I found from their EP here, too.

Cold War Night Life is HUGE!!! One of my all-time favorite records and a big influence on what I do electronically.

The second album (I forget the name of it) is Rational Youth in name only and should be avoided. I haven't been able to track down the reunion album so I cannot comment on that.

love the band a lot - great stuff, Cold War night Life is one of my all time fave albums as well - consider it among the top 10 80es albums of all time for sure... fave track (if I have to pick just one) would be Saturdays In Silesia. a shame that they no longer release stuff... miss them a lot!

The second album did have one pretty good song that sounded like it should have been on the first album. That was "Holiday in Bangkok". The song that they made a video for was pretty good too.

Oliie--I agree for the most part.
Cold War Night Life--a classic
Heredity--not so hot

Their more recent To The Goddess Electricity has some great tracks on it!! ( Pink Pills Orange Pills and Back From Madropour being my favorites )

I adore their track Energy but can't find anything about it. Could you help and suggest something in similar taste ? Thanks! [:o)]
And a discography with ratings ? [:I]

If you are referring to the extended dance mix, here it is. I am sure that this is out of print.

The "Danse Mix" of "City of Night" is by no way out of print. It is available on the RY-Box of 5 CD-Singles, which you can buy at eBay from time to time or from online dealers and more easily on the canadian RY-Sampler "All Our Saturdays 1981-1986"

I just deleted it. eBay is a secondary market and I think it would be okay to post it then but if it is available for purchase on a primary market, then my mistake. I deleted it.
