How about gracing us us with a rambling, boring, unnecessary dissertation on whether those are power "shut the fuck up" pictures or gentle "shut the fuck up" pictures?

Do U have a problem with your thing? I might recommend a good friend of mine , he is a flute teacher and he might be of some help to you like telling you where to place your fingers to avoid leaks.

It says here in chapter one of...

<img src="http://www.writersontheloose.com/writers/StephenNatarelli/photos/13620/Small_INTERNET%20ASSHOLES.jpg">

"Don't ignorantly walk in as a johnny-come-lately and try to redefine things that have already been established and understood to be so by the greater populace. Prime example: New Wave is NOT broken into 'Gentle', 'Mainstream' and 'Power' types. We have existing genres, not to classify and divide, but so we can understand of what someone speaks. 'Power Pop' for example is a long-established genre of music that many of us enjoy, value and do not require redefinition by numbnut Frenchie Pied Pipers of Souteast Asian Noobs. " [I beg pardon...just as the Pope, I AM just quoting from the text] [}:)]

If U wish to follow diligently the latest recommendations of the record industry, U are free to do so but in France from grade school we are trained to develop a cartesian mind and to call a spade a spade, therefore the term Power Pop doesn't make any sense. I believe that my own definition of gentle, mainstream and power new wave is much clearer but you are entitled to think otherwise. However be prepared to adjust your vocabulary, I heard that THEY are coming with something new next year.[:D]

Try this:

Google "Gentle Wave"
look at the results
Google "Power Pop"
look at the results

Next try this:

Wikipedia "Gentle Wave"
look at the results
then Wikipedia "Power Pop"
look at the results

Try the same with All Music.

Frankly, I don't see your point. The record industry has coined the term Power Pop, in the same way that they had launched the term new wave decades ago and everybody followed suit like sheep, therefore, not surprisingly, you will find plenty of pseudo definitions of Power Pop.

I hate when an artist starts telling people to shut the fuck up.
