Greatest Combined A AND B-side Ever?

[Sean]

Some of my all time favorites:

Pseudo Echo - Listening b/w In Their Time
Depeche Mode - Dreaming Of Me b/w Ice Machine
Anything Box - Jubilation b/w Do You Hear Me Anymore
The entire Pet Shop Boys singles catalog from their first 2 albums
Cetu Javu - Have In Mind b/w China Girl
The Cure - Let's Go To Bed b/w Just One Kiss
Hubert Kah - It's Me Cathy b/w The Picture

I agree with many already listed. My favorite not yet mentioned:

The Smiths: The Boy with the Thorn in His Side / Asleep

[club80]

The Clash's London calling/Train in Vain

[thunderbird2]

Mine are
Joan of Arc / Romance of the Telescope OMD
Are Friends Electric / We are so fragile Tubeway Army

and 12" wise

Soft Cell's fantastic 12" version of say hello wave goodbye and Fun City extended

[birdmadgirl]

"A Letter to Elise"/"The Big Hand" (1992, B-sides from "Wish") The Cure

Both are heartbreaking and beautiful.

Inspired by this thread I got a copy of Adam Ant's [i]B-Side Babies[/i], that includes the b-side [i]Christian D'Or[/i] that I haven't heard in over 20 years!

I do not think that this was an original release:

[My Aural Stimulator]

I really like how the Pet Shop Boys would couple their singles with b-sides of the same character. For instance, West End Girls with One More Chance (the original versions of both) and, later, What Have I Done with A New Life.

I wouldn't call these the greatest combined A & B sides, but they are in my top 20.

[newwavepop]

honestly i never really bought singles.
except sometimes just for a b side, but it would have to be some i liked everything by already.
that would make the 3 first duran singles.
i think khanada/late bar/faster than light are some of there best material.
some early men without hats singles.
red lorry yellow lorry-only dreaming/the rise.
shox lumania-signals/i have no shoes.

that adam ant cover makes me think of michael jacksons bad cover ewww.
