The Killers - "Mr. Brightside" ....

Anyone else think this is one of the most "1983" songs to come out in a long time??
Watching the video, I can See & hear this song Seamlessly morphing into six Classix Nouveaux's "Guilty" ......[:)][8D]

Classix Neuvau's
Classix who? Hey, I'm sensitive when someone murders the French language![:D]
Joking aside, there are many bands nowadays with a New Wave flavor, the Killers are one of them, I guess they have been widely discussed on this forum; Death Cab For Cutie, The Postal Service, Interpol, She Wants Revenge, Editors, Muse etc. Now, as to whether Mr Brightside is one of the most "83" songs to come out in a long time, this is debatable. I took note that the Killers seem to have relinquished that New Wave flavor in their new album: Sam's Town and just because of that, I'm not so willing to buy it.

Maybe you should 'sequester' that the post be deleted. Hey, I'm sensitive when somebody murders the English language.

Hey DSR! Can U explain again to this dumb dummy the reason why U used the term "sequestered", because as far as I am concerned, I gave up on him!

It doesn't matter why he used it, it's an incorrect use of the word. And look who's calling people dumb...LOFL!!

Surely a genius like you must be better able to categorize me than a simple "dumb dummy"? Weak, even by your lowly standards.

Keep going, you'll soon be replacing Panorama.

If I recall, didn't you recently pay about a $1,000 (maybe it was in the $900 range) on ebay for a record?

It was 2 records, and what of it? If you've got the money and vinyl collecting is your hobby, I don't see the problem. Then again, maybe I'm just not getting the picture...

Perhaps I should take up the hobby of recklessly driving on public roads?

Nice sentiment Coogan, but I couldn't hope to replace you as the board's resident moron, esp. with competition like fanciz constantly upping the ante.

Even more low than when I "denigrated" your profession? You're just another tender ninny Dan.

BTW: it's not name calling when the word so perfectly describes you.

Tender ninny?

I just went the distance and finished my lawsuit -- 2 years and 8 months including a week long trial (July 18-25), and beat a 12 billion dollar a year corporation in Federal Court for Willful Copyright infringment -- they ended up spending about 500-600K on their defense.

If you think it was easy, just you put it ALL out on the line for your princples. Only about 12 copyright cases a year make it to trial each year (probably 9 are in NY and LA).

Don't waste Ur time discussing with 80 something, he is totally hopeless! The kind of dudes who started as hyperactive kids to end up with personality disorders in their adulthood. Years ago consulting a psy could have been an option, today,I'm afraid it's too late![:D]

I've put it ALL out on the line for my principles numerous times...many people here have.

Big deal. I don't see where one discounts the other.
