Although "That's Entertainment" was more popular, In the City is much more signature Jam. Therefore...

In the City wins!

Al-Righty Then, it's: "In The City" wins from The Jam's first album IN THE CITY - Polydor 2383 447, Released May 1977 - Highest chart placing #20 (in UK).

I can live with that! When you see their live versions of it, you realize what a signature Jam song it is, with Weller and Foxton screaming into their mics, Foxton just hammering his base lines, and Butler sweating it out in some tiny couped-up stage. It's debatable that In the City is their greatest song, but it sure is classic, classic Jam.

Edit: See for yourselves. From The Jam Complete DVD set, which I highly recommend all fans to pick up. An intro from Tony Wilson off his So It Goes show no less...

Although That's Entertainment is my personal favorite, I can certainly live with In The City. Another great song. This poll worked itself out
