Ex-Kraftwerk member Karl Bartos' album Communication:

<img src="../images/other/bartos-communication.jpg">

This one is wild -- you open it by pulling on the tab on the right and the liner notes and CD slide out from opposite sides simultaneously! Wish I had a pic that shows this.

Oh yeah, it took me several minutes to figure out the Karl Bartos one. I'm lucky I didn't rip it or something [:D].

One that I have that immediately comes to mind is this German 3 CD set that came in a genuine denim jean pocket complete with yellow smiley button:

There's the UK release of Propaganda's Outside World CD+DVD that is interestingly bad. Nice foil packaging, but it uses these cheapass foam things to hold the CD which SUCK SHIT! Discs were scratched before I even touched them.

Very, very cool CD packaging, people. How about the Minimum Maximum notebook set by Kraftwerk? I saw this at my local Tower recently but passed it up because it was "only" 30% off [}:)] I already have the 2 CD set so I figured I could deal with the consequences of waiting to see if it would still be around for further markdowns. Does anyone know if I can buy the DVD seperately?

And here's the Red Hot Chili Peppers' Stadium Arcadium, a very excellent album IMHO:

The deluxe ed of the new Scissor Sisters is pretty cool. The discs come out on either side and the booklet and poster are in the center:

Ryuichi Sakamoto's "Playing The Orchestra" was a limited release 2 (3) cd box set (literally a box). It had 26 tracks of orchestral versions of Sakamoto songs.
