My reply was not intened to offend "seffe" in any way at all or be an a**hole about his post. I was genuinely trying to point out his grammar mistake, one that I always see many people, kids and adults alike, make all the time. If I thought it was just a typo, I wouldn't have brought it up but it looks to be the kind of mistake that's not part of his awareness. It's certainly something I would be glad if someone brought it to my attention. I don't even know why this was brought up, I didn't even phrase it in a mean or condescending way.
