Set up a power pop forum then, you tedious bore.
I have to agree. We'd rather not see our precious NWO watered down with bands that 99% of us would agree are not New Wave.

Rick Nelson covered songs by Graham Parker, Mickey Jupp, and John Hiatt. If certain new-wavers want to be the hall monitors of this site, they could stand to wash the hair gel out of their ears and start listening more to the genre.

None of those 3 are really new wave, except maybe GP. Anyway, is Saint Etienne new wave because they covered a Gary Numan tune? No.

This is getting a little out of hand now, if something doesn't interest you, don't click it, by responding in a negative way all you are doing is creating the clutter not the original poster. I am very interested in this release and very happy georige posted it. Like I said before, I would most likely not be aware of it unless it was for posts like these. So what, maybe you don't like a certain artist or don't classify this with that. What makes this board so fun is you can discover new things. I don't understand why you jump down someone's throat when all they are trying to do is help out. I will admit georige can be a bit annoying but I can oversee that and appreciate his efforts every now and again.

The reason why some of us are getting ticked off is that it's getting a bit harder to find new posts that AREN'T started by georgie. This almost makes me yearn for the days of Andy and the kimmii worshipping.

If georgie wasn't an intentionally irritating troll, what he would do is start a thread called "power pop--not new wave but everso cool!". Then he could post his boring crap in that one thread. Admittedly, it would always be at the top of whatever forum he put it in, but at least it would only be one thread in one forum.

To state the obvious, Saint Etienne isn't new-wave because they covered Gary Numan. That news, however, would be of interest to Gary Numan fans, and perhaps of new-wave fans in general. Fans of new-wave artists such as Graham Parker, Mickey Jupp, and John Hiatt (all of whom had their new-wave periods) certainly have reason to be interested in much of Rick Nelson's work from that same period.

OK, then let's have a thread about Non-New Wave Artists who did New Wave. Oh wait, we already have such threads. A lot of them.

We also have a forum for News and CD Reissues. At least two registered members here were very interested in getting news of this Rick Nelson reissue. If you wish to have our New Wave membership cards revoked, then go report us to the principal.

21 posts and already the king...blow me. Georgie hasn't contributed anything to this board other than his own special brand of typed diarrhea. If you're into that, feast on it. For the rest of us, we've long since tired of his pointless, irritating posts. If you'd been here longer than 5 seconds, you'd know that. Another typical asshat shooting his mouth off before knowing anything.

If you don't like it, why don't YOU report us to the principal.

And so eight6 reveals his own sad take on the meaning of the New Wave Outpost. It's not about sharing news. It's about his desperate bid to create Second Chance High School. Why, he's almost got 4,000 posts, and none of them have been anything but really, really cool. And check out the size of that UPC code. Why, he's truly the Biggest Man On Campus.

On the contrary, that's what it IS about: NEW WAVE NEWS and MUSIC. That's why asshats like you and georgie don't get it. I've shared tons here, georgie...nada, unless you include his many wikipedia cut and pastes. You, while you've shared with us your holier than thou shit, many thanks for that BTW, have shared precious little else.

That's your best...as georgie would say...........................lol.............

The UPC is there to facilitate the "crybaby" precess: you know, the one where you go crying to a mod or board admin. to complain. Good luck, bigger and better than you have tried...

Hey, eight6, you forgot to threaten me with violence. That part always reminds everyone that you're the true Big Man on the New Wave Beach.

Why would I threaten you with anything, esp. violence, it's an internet board moron. Besides, it's much more fun just laughing at your whiny little protest.
