I won't ask if she's New wave or not, this is just I discussion thread about her.
I was browsing the net yesterday, when I saw her name mentioned in some artcile. I looked in Wikipedia and saw that she was pretty much presnet in the recent years as a songwriter.
According to Wikipedia, she is working with Roisin Murphy of Moloko on her second album which is going to be released sometime in 2007.

I remember seeing one of her videos at the gym. Forgot the tune, but it had some semi-spicy imagery.

She had a really two cool songs that I liked a lot 0called "Too Many Walls" and "Touch Me All Night Long". Her videos were very colorful and interesting to watch. Pretty lady.

Funny, I recall her being an early 90's phenomenon (courtesy of the Brits) given those aforementioned tracks came off her 1990 release 'Move To This' (A great party record BTW)
<IMG SRC="http://re3.mm-a8.yimg.com/image/4182605053">

Definitely echoed the then prolific house dance movement production values (Like Madonna's 'I'm Breathless' album) Great turntablist stuff nonetheless..

BTW: My fave from her is 'Just Another Dream' which features the fab Shep Pettibone on the co-production credits plus, Dancin Danny 'D' (not Rick Astley) on backing vocals. (Killer dance track IMO)..but I digress[:I]

Hey thanx for the vid link Cadman.. (Great flashback)

Man, that red hair and those eyes! (though it's clear she hails from the <a href="http://www.seinfeld-fan.net/pictures/elaine/elaine_benes044.jpg" target="blank">Elaine Benes</a> school of dance moves.[B)][:o)]

I do recall the "All Night Long" video, great dance song. Thought she was pretty hot at the time, I am partial to red heads.

Y'know Cathy Dennis is the female vocalist on the "Maid Marion" song from "Robin Hood: Men in Tights." By the way I would love to get that song...

Also Martika beats Cathy any day.
