Just for anyone who can't find it these days.... last I remember it was on the Themes Box Set... Simple Minds - Don't You (Forget About Me) (Extended Version) is now available on the new "Now TWICM 80's" comp. Too bad you have to endure some of the other crap on the CD... but it is available again. Strange place for it.

There is another comp it's been available on for some time...it's the opening track on "Pure 80's Hits". Kind of strange, becuse the remainder of "Pure 80's" series seems to avoid any extended mixes.

I know the guy who put both of those compilations together - he just prefers that version. For the Pure 80s Hits CD, he couldn't get the original master tape for that version, so I ended up having my friend who has the Theme boxes copy his disc and then they used that CD-R for the final version.

Interesting tidbit...you would think that a big company like Universal (if I recall the label correctly) wouldn't have a problem getting the master. Glad your friend had the Themes set handy!

You mean like Don't You (Forget About Me) (Extended Version)?
