So, is the Boy "Dub Mix" going to be on the 1st cd? The review of the cd mentions it on there but the tracklisting leaves it out. [}:)]

I have that old "Henna" song on that obscure compilation of Philadelphia bands Susan Ottaviano produced in '84.

I was not impressed with the Boy remixes they put out earlier this decade.

Maybe these new reissues will give us some more interesting material.

On a side note, I hope they have lots of pictures of the band in here. A close up of Lauren would make up for the missing songs. [8D]
She's beautiful, the New Wave girl you wish you had for a girlfriend. Jade and Susan are pretty cute too. I saw them in concert 3 times in the 80's. I wish I had a camcorder to record the shows then.

Ugh. Got a message from The Ideal Copy today that the reissues have been postponed until June 23rd. I really hope these don't get cancelled. I still mourn over the cancellation of that 2-disc Japanese release of ALL the dead or alive 12" singles a couple of years ago.

Would be nice if they were postponed until they could come up with better tracklistings [:)].

I just want the 1st and 2nd album reissues. With We Three Kings and the 12" versions from Lullaby finally on CD, I couldn't ask for much more. I have no use for instrumental or dub versions. And the 3rd and 4th CDs I don't need at all because I have all the CD singles released from those albums.

Has anyone actually received these cds yet. According to ccmusic they are on sale but everywhere else they are delayed. There are tracklisting differences with several sites. The one I am concerned with is Amazon lists the 12" of lost souls on the first cd, and it is omitted on most other sites. Just want to know before I buy them.

I don't see where Amazon lists Lost Souls extended (Spiritual) on either disc. But I do agree with everyone else that it is criminal to re-release this without finally releasing the extended mix of Lost Souls. Could have done without the Daniel Miller Mix of ITR since it has been released recently on one of the Retro Active issues. I have seen conflicting track listings where the Dub version of Boy was included on some and not on others.

... with Retro:Active's quality "levels jacked higher than hell" remastering.

Regarding the delayed release - ultimately it's a good thing. I have no reason to believe they will be canceled. We've been in contact with the distributor (Infinity), who also owns the reissuing label, Noble Rot, so we're pretty sure the info we get from them is accurate. We've been in discussions with them to get autographed copies for our customers who buy a set of the 4 Book of Love Reissues. No guarantees, but they came to us, so hopefully it will work out.

And this should be the correct track list for the self-titled debut 2CD edition - we've just updated this on our site as well.
Disc One
1. Modigliani (Lost in Your Eyes)
2. You Make Me Feel So Good
3. Still Angry
4. White Lies
5. Lost Souls
6. Late Show
7. I Touch Roses
8. Yellow Sky
9. Boy
10. Happy Day
11. Book of Love

Disc Two: Bonus Tracks
1. Boy (demo)
2. Lost Souls (demo)
3. White Lies (demo)
4. You Make Me Feel So Good (demo)
5. I Touch Roses (demo)
6. Book of Love (Demo)
7. Still Angry (Demo)
8. Boy (live)
9. Happy Day (live)
10. I Touch Roses (Daniel Miller mix)
11. Lost Souls (original 12 Inch version)
12. We Three Kings

There were no changes to the other 3 albums.

cheers!

I am so glad to hear that the 12" of Lost Souls will be on the remaster. I was going to buy the first 2 for sure, but now I am leaning on getting all four. Thanks for the info IC.

That is awesome news regarding "Lost Souls". This is one delay in release that I won't mind.

Great news about the inclusion of the Lost Souls Spirited Mix on the 1st album. I will definitely be buying the 4 album set. Just wish they would have included Henna to make it complete.

Idealcopy, can you confirm the release date too. Just wondering why Amazon still have the release date as May 12th.
