I would really love to have Eleven Pond - Bas Relief on CD. The album was reissued on vinyl this year and "Watching Trees" can be found on the recent Cold Waves And Minimal Electronics Vol. 1 compilation.

I can listen to all of the songs on Eleven Pond's Facebook fan page, but I want the CD. Now.

Agree about Eleven Pond, a fantastic LP that should be released on CD. One of the best LP's from the 80s period, and I must admit I was disappointed to see the re-release was limited to vinyl only. A CD from master tapes would be fantastic.

I think the following albums need to be reissued on CD, although they already exist on CD, but they were issued in the 80's and without any bonus tracks:

Dalbello - Whomanfoursays (1984 / Capitol Records)

Dalbello - She (1987 / Capitol Records)

General Public - All The Rage (1984 / Virgin)

General Public - Hand To Mouth (1986 / Virgin)

The Parachute Men - The Innocents (1988 / Fire Records)

Froon - Froon (1988 / Epic)

The Fountainhead - Voice Of Reason (1988 / China Records)

The Flaming Mussolinis - Charmed Life (1987 / Epic)

So - Horseshoe In The Glove (1988 / Parlophone)

Rams - Romantic Challenge (1987 / Fink & Star Production Ltd.)

16 Tambourines - How Green Is Your Valley ? (1989 / Arista)

From my previous post, the following albums exist on CD:

Ho Sai - Tightropes (1987 /Columbia)

Venetians - Calling In The Lions (1986 / Festival Records, Parole Records)

The Quick - Wah Wah (1986 / A&M Records)

So's Horseshoe in the Glove essentially DID have extended mixes as bonus tracks, but the only song that really stands out on that album for me, the single "Are You Sure" (a total rip off of mid 80s Simple Minds sound) is better in its album mix than the extended version on the CD or the remix released on the U.S. 12". I was always disappointed that the 12" versions were not as good as the album version.

General Public's 'Hand To Mouth' was reissued by IRS in the early 90s with bonus tracks, including an extended mix of "General Public".

I was surprised the first album didn't get the same treatment, although it seemed to stay continuously in print so maybe IRS saw no need for a reissue.

yes, budaniel, you're right saying that So's Horseshoe In The Glove includes two mixes as bonus tracks. I forgot to name the The Lover Speaks' album which also has appeared on CD before.
Now I want to mention three albums that exist on CD, but they were released in the 80's and without any extended versions:

The Truth - Weapons Of Love (1987 / I.R.S. Records)

The Strangemen - Take Me Away (1987 / Vielklang)

Big Trouble - Big Trouble (1988 / Epic)

There is very little chance of seeing a re-release for this one. When I interviewed Andy O he said that the band had no knowledge of this release at the time and only found out later which they were very annoyed about.

The 'album' itself was a collection of b-sides and Modern Jazz tracks that was only released in Yugoslavia and Japan (their biggest markets).

...and so did One To One, earlier this year!

Now I'd like to see the lone album plus the one EP and one promo-only live EP by What Is This all reissued. The leader was Alain Johannes, who went on to Walk The Moon, then Eleven, and just put out a solo album that mainly deals with the death of his wife (who was in the 2 bands after WIT with him). He played guitar when Them Crooked Vultures were on SNL earlier this year, and he is deeply entrenched in the whole Josh Homme/QOTSA universe. Their 1985 album (also featuing Jack Irons and Hillel Slovak - sp?) was produced by Todd Rundgren, and they charted briefly with their cover of "I'll Be Around" by The Spinners, one of my favorite songs of that year.

The Big Trouble album--I was really surprised when I got that because it was not like anything I'd ever heard produced by Giorgio Moroder before--or expected. All his electronics and synths were essentially gone, in exchange for a simple pop girl band sound. Pretty generic stuff with just a few standout tracks. And in actuality, I don't believe there were any extended mixes or 12" mixes from that album.
