I would say this is the poorest compilation so far looking at that tracklist. Is there anything on there that hasn't been on CD before as i don't recognise some of the groups on it[?]

Some nice tunes there. City Lights is a great synthpop number with a catchy riff. Careless Love is probably the best thing the Humpe sisters ever did. Donna Rouge is from a Swedish disco band called Fake. As far as I know none of their tracks has been issued on CD before.

I would get it if it wasn't for the horrible mastering.

The track listing is quite boring. And also how could anyone stand the remastering ? All the so80s cds are way too loud.

Yeah, nothing too exciting but cool of them to finally include a track by Fake who often gets ignored on compilations. Kind of interesting that the RAF track is on the mix but not included as an individual track. Wonder what the story was behind that. I wonder what it would take to get them to put Secession's "Touch Part 3" or "Sneakyville" on here. The Humpe & Humpe track is cool though. What is the full length version of "Mad World"?!?

heck, if they're going to put Tears for Fears on these compilations, it's time they include the UK 12" of Shout.

I was happy with the artiests editions - Is the re-mastering very loud on these?

Actually looking at this again, it may not be the tracklisting that everyone was hoping for but it does seem somewhat interesting. At least it's not the same old stuff over and over again.

Pretty sure Murray Head "One Night In Bangkok" (12" Version) and Fine Young Cannibals "Ever Fallen In Love" (Arthur Baker Remix) have never been on CD.

Well, the Murray Head twelve inch has been on quite a few comps, FYC I know was on a CD single but hasn't been readily available on compilations.

one can totally tell this is a European release, probably German... William Pitt, Ryan Paris, Fake, Fun Fun, Humpe & Humpe, Raf... not very known in US [:D]

I dug around a bit and did find a couple, but none too easily (or inexpensively) available. Many comps erroneously list the 5:01 version as the Extended Version, but this is just the album version with the orchestral intro. (The true 12" Version clocks in at around 5:38.)

I have the Murray Head 12" version on these two compilations:

80s 12inch special

crash 80s Volume 2

And the orchestral intro version on these two:

Class Reunion 85

I Love Disco 80s volume 2

clearly the tracklisting is wrong, loads of repeats

So do all the So 80's editions sound bad?
