the unter, er super deluxe version, is $160+ on amazon but probably will go down and contains all the cds and dvds but without the idiotic extra $500 worth of crap. fyi.

How much is the deluxe version that also excludes the CDs and DVDs? That's the one I want.

I'm only interested in the alternate Achtung on cd6 not in the endless crap blah blah shit mixes - but for $500 they can go and swing.

I would assume bout $100 or £100 - but time will tell

I'd almost spring for the Uber set if I knew the DVD contained the entire Zoo TV special that aired on Fox back in 1991 (the one with Bono and Winona Ryder walking around Hollywood with a bullhorn).

I never need to see "Live in Sydney" ever again. That's always been out.

Ah, I see it's on YouTube. It was called the Zoo TV; Outside Special. Parts of it show up on other U2 DVD's but never the whole special (which I have in slightly more crappy condition on a VHS tape somewhere).

Bad news on the remastering front.

I've heard from two different sources with Universal that this will not be a remastered recording, and indeed is just a re-release of Achtung Baby and the Zooropa album. The folks over at u2tour.de have their own sources, one of which said they weren't positive that there was any remastering, and another at Universal UK who said no remastering had taken place...

The price is bad enough but to not even remaster it is a total joke[:0]
