I'm by no means an "expert," but I do have a significant Icehouse collection. Icehouse is particularly maddening because in most cases, the album version and the single version are the same. But there are also American/European single versions that may differ from the Australian singles. Anyway, here's what I have determined thus far. This is by no means the final word on the matter:
DISC 1
1. Can't Help Myself-album version (NOTE: the entire first album was remixed/re-recorded for the US market, but these are the original Australian album versions)
2. We Can Get Together-album version
3. Walls-album version
4. Icehouse-album version
5. Love In Motion (Original Single Mix)-Australian 7", not the re-recorded US 7"
6. Great Southern Land-Australian album version, NOT the 1989 album remix by Michael Barbiero
7. Hey, Little Girl-album version
8. Street Cafe-7" single mix by Bob Clearmountain, but not labeled as such in the liner notes
9. Glam-album version
10. Taking the Town-album version ?
11. Don't Believe Anymore-album version
12. Dusty Pages (Single Version)-listed as "single version" in liner notes
13. No Promises-album version
14. Baby, You're So Strange-album version
15. Mr. Big-album version
DISC 2
1. Cross the Border-album version
2. Crazy-Australian album version, not the US album version, which is a minute longer
3. Electric Blue-Australian album version, not the remixed US album version
4. My Obsession-Australian album version
5. Man of Colours-album version
6. Nothing Too Serious-album version
7. Touch the Fire-same version as on the Great Southern Land comp
8. Jimmy Dean-ditto
9. Big Fun-album version
10. Miss Divine-album version
11. Anything is Possible-album version
12. Satellite (Single Version)-listed as "single version" in liner notes
13. Big Wheel-album version*
14. Invisible People-album version*
15. Love in Motion (w/Christina Amphlett)-same as on Masterfile comp
*With the songs from the "Big Wheel" album, this new compilation gets sloppy. All of the songs on the Big Wheel album are "linked" by ambient keyboards and other sounds, so that they segue into one another with no gaps. The tracks on this new compilation include those instrumental "links," and then cut off abruptly at the end. There are single versions of these songs without the distracting "segues" at the end, but for some reason those weren't included on White Heat.
Again, there may be other differences here that I haven't noticed yet. These are just my initial reactions based on my first few listens...
