Debbie Harry KooKoo reissue with bonus tracks

As I've said a million times, WAIT until the item shows up in amazon marketplace. They will ship it within a day or two. There is no point in pre-ordering this stuff months in advance.

DON'T try to put them out of business. The quality of their CDs is quite good.

I agree, these guys are putting out superior remastered quality cds and titles you wouldn't think would happen on cd. I support them.

The titles I ordered were all listed as released and in-stock when I placed my order. It was only afterwards that I began to get the runaround. People are certainly willing to pay for what Gold Legion offers, so c'mon, this company can certainly step up and do proper business. Posting false information to entice potential patrons is not cool and I have no sympathy for a company that has screwed people out of their money. I do understand that unexpected circumstances may occur in third-party licensing, but as often as it happens with these guys? If something looks like it's not going to be available until October 2011 don't say it's available in August 2010--and then act MIA when inquired about it. It simply sounds like funds and legalities are severely mismanaged.

Get over it. Their website looks like it was designed in 1985. Anyone who orders from it deserves what they get. Their CDs will all come out eventually. Why are you sending them the money now?

Who said anything about sending them money now? Clearly you haven't read this thread thoroughly. No one deserves to be taken advantage of when entering a transaction in good faith. Perhaps one day your conscious consumer radar, Barmey, will falter one day and you too will lose a few disposable bucks...Then you will have gotten what you deserved.

for the record, as it stands now, I haven't lost any money from them. Yeah, I've had CDs that were charged to my credit card a year ago--but they've also all been sent to me eventually. When it comes down to the amazing quality of their CDs, I'll gladly wait a year to have EVERY one of their releases turn out outstanding than to get the some of the awful releases that have been put out by the likes of cherry red and wounded bird in exchange for frequent releases. But I do also agree with others--just don't pre-order from them. At this point, I don't pre-order and do wait for the official release, just so I don't have to keep track--like, "oh yeah, ordered a france joli CD from Gold Legion June 2010, still haven't gotten it...

Well, I received my copy of the France Joli CD yesterday, not a week after I got notice it was shipping. Still waiting on one more CD. The newer stuff (debbie, grace, etc.) I'm going to wait to buy on amazon.

i have been cheated by goldlegion.com i never received my order due to the fact that the release dates kept changing but they never responded to any of my emails. i asked for a refund several times and was ignored. i made a comnplaint with the better business bureau and they ignored them too. my question is there anywhere else i can complain to about them? i don't think that they should get away with ignoring and ripping off their customers.

Re: Gold Legion, I ordered the Jellybean 'Wotpuski?!!!' reissue from them. It was 4 weeks before I received a shipping notification and another 4 weeks before it arrived. Whilst I think that's far too long for a CD order to be processed/get here, when it did, I was majorly impressed. It sounds great, the booklet is very thick, with reproduced artwork and lengthy liner notes. It's a release I never imagined would ever make the CD grade and in this instance, I'm pleased I ordered. They are certainly not speedy, but the quality is very high indeed. I think Gold Legion are like two guys, putting our titles they themselves think deserve a reissue. I don't think they've got an army of employees and are, dare I say it, winging it. Considering the CD I bought was just $9.99, I find it hard to criticise them.

On their website it says that Kookoo is in stock and ready for shipping. Is that a joke? order and it would arrive six months from now ?

I ordered KooKoo and the disc Disco Discography 1 after getting an e-mail that they were in stock, and I've received confirmation that they shipped. I'll let you know when I get them.

Ordered Kookoo on Wednesday and got an email today that it shipped. It's my first time ordering from them so I guess I got lucky (or they're getting better). Perhaps I should reserve judgement until it's actually in my hands. We'll see.

I got both my discs today. They have revamped the way they operate, obviously due to customer complaints. They are now marking stuff as 'in stock' on their website when it is indeed ready.

Listening to Debbie Harry right now, and I can still say, I hope Gold Legion doesn't fold because the energy they put into these releases is amazing. And I was thrilled with Disco Discography volume 1 as well, buying it specifically for the full 12" version of "With Your Love" by Donna Summer--which was edited by almost 2 minutes on the Donna Summer 12" collection that was released decades ago. This is the first time the full length version has ever appeared on CD, so they appear to do their homework. They could easily have slapped on a predictable Donna Summer hit that has been on CD dozens of times before. This disc also has the longest 12" version of Dance (Disco Heat) by sylvester that I've ever heard. Nice rarity, at least for me.
