Even if you don't like it that much, it is still light years better than the drug-induced speed metal pap that he released later in his career [:)].

A difference in opinion but I love everything about this album, every song from start to finish. Love the music, love the vocals, love the artwork, and love the look of Al during this period.

2 questions:

1) does amazon accept paypal?

2) should I go ahead and order rthis now, or wait till someone gets it to find out how the audio quality is?

Um, just received this and got a big surprise. One of the three bonus tracks is a 6 minute Revenge Remix version instead of Work For Love Dub. And it was stated correctly on the back of the cd. Does anyone have info on this version? It sounds like it's from the day and not modern. I can't believe that no else has mentioned this.

Still waiting for my copy but that's pretty although I wanted the Work For Love (dub). There was an extended version of "Revenge" that was done on the remix services that was pretty good. I wonder if that is what is on there. What's the length of the track pinkyblue82?

So, I have to ask those of you who have the disc already: How is the overall quality of the release? Is it remastered well? And, the bonus material, are they from master tapes and not cruddy vinyl rips? Please let me know, because I do want this if it is in fact a quality release.

Thanks in advance people,

Jeffrey

I was thinking of "Effigy" with regards to the Remix Service. The extended version of "Revenge" from this cd is super cool. For some reason though, I feel like this is more recent mix but done classic 80's style. This is worth buying for those 3 bonus tracks. Nothing special about the artwork and liner notes. Wish they would have stuck in more pictures of Al from those days.

Audio wise, it sounds pretty decent to me but I am the worst person answer that question. [8D]

Thanks Sean for your feedback. I will get it based on your feedback. The remix you mentioned for "Effigy (I'm Not An...)" was done on "The Edge" sattelite series of Hot Tracks's remix service which I thouht was just, okay. However, I have heard a phenomenal remix of Minitstry's "Work For Love" done by remixer extraordinare Chris Cox and that's on Hot Tracks as well. Chris really makes the mix better than the original 12-inch by incorporating the dub version and cool multi-edits in his mix. I don't have it, but it's worth seeking out.

Best,

Jeffrey

What I like best about this re-issue is the inclusion of the otherwise unreleased extended / remixed version of "Revenge" which sounds awesome. Sound of the album is also good - at least on car hi-fi ; )
I had no hope that this re-issue would include the dj-remixes mentioned in the other posts but at least the 12" version of "Work for love" should have been included. And I guess there is enough space on this cd to also include Work for Love (Dub Version) and
I Wanted To Tell Her (Tongue-Tied Mix) which would have made this collection almost complete.
