Fine Young Cannibals deluxe reissues coming soon
Sensoria - I really appreciate you alerting people on this forum to news on my blog SuperDeluxeEdition, but would you mind not copying and pasting entire articles here please.

It is accepted practise, I think, to provide an excerpt and then a link to read the whole article.

You did it with The Jam / The Gift and now with Fine Young Cannibals. I do go to the trouble to write these posts in the hope that people will visit my blog.

Obviously, if everyone just copies and pastes everything here, that will not happen.

I'm sure you had the best of intentions, and we're all music fans here, but if you and others could bear this in mind, I'd really appreciate it. :)

Thanks, Paul (editor, SuperDeluxeEdition)

Hi Paul!
Firstly, I deeply apologize if I broke your rules I really wasn't aware of. I'm no conflict kind of a person and always like to solve the matters in the nicest possible way.
Secondly, I find your SuperDeluxeEdition one of the best specific musical info sites on the whole wide Web, alongside SlicingUpEyeballs, ThisIsNoRetro (formerly RememberTheEighties) and a few other ones I can't think of right now, and I was just trying to spread a good word. Yes, I did copy and paste your two very exhaustive infos on the FYC and The Jam reissues, finding them interesting for all of us on here but I put the site's link below like a lot of forumers do all over the Net who don't get warned at all, as it's only a forum, and not some professional journalistic site that really shouldn't do it at all for the obvious copyright reasons as well as their overall reputation too. I don't like copy and paste practice in journalistic purposes either. Moreover, find it very rude and unfair. But if you think otherwise I'll accept that too.
And thirdly, wishing you best of luck with your truly excellent job. And please, keep us informed in the years ahead. Don't want to see you gone off the space. Readers comments aside. That's a totally different matter.
Much thanks for understanding. :-)

Hi Sensoria

Thanks for your kind comments about my blog.

I appreciate you put the link in your posts which is great. And I'm sure you had the best of intentions.

My suggestion in future, might be to copy, say the first paragraph to give people a flavour of the post and then place the link after that for those who wish to read the whole article. If nothing else it gives people a choice and takes up less space in this forum.

Alternatively you could just summarise the 'news' and place the link.

Either way, thanks in advance for spreading the word.
Don't know anything about that site's politics. I'm just saying what my opinion is, pertaining to anyone's website.

You, on the other hand, obviously have an axe to grind, and from the lack of support, nobody is really interested in your rants about superdeluxeeditions.com. You weren't even the guy who copy/pasted it.

You said it yourself, you don't know anything about that site, so why protect the man in the first place then ?!

He has supporters that would support him no matter what he does or says. Their replies are childish and predictable, more people ought to take a stance against these guys, otherwise the world would be full of them.....

There is no reason for Sinclair to act so defensive, as he should be glad of the attention being drawn to his s*** site instead of having a tantrum like a 5 year old....

Since you didn't noticed: I was trying to protect you in the first place! But I guess that's what you get for being polite. What I do on any site is none of your business so I don't need any advise on this matter.

All comments towards me (even from yourself) doesn't take the real problem away. You only make big fools of yourselves in any books by any self-respecting person.

About you mr. Sensoria ?! You're a complete ''jellyfish''. Going along to get along. No morality left.

A climate has now been created by these kind of individuals and websites, such as Sinclair's SuperDeluxeEdition, that any old crap is churned out from the seemingly endless vaults, no matter what has occurred before.

With Peels (already massively inflated) ego stroked more and more by these individuals who seek to kiss his arse and gloss over the mistakes/blatant cock ups made on previous releases. A good example is the new 'FGTH Best Of'.

Luke,

It was only a matter of time before you got around to moaning about (I assume) Frankie Said.

What's to moan about?, it's a great compilation,........

The reissues have been put back. 7 December 2012 as Amazon suggests or 3 January 2013 as SuperDeluxeEdition says has yet to be seen. (http://www.superdeluxeedition.com/news/ ... s-delayed/).

Ofcourse.

There are too many essential tracks missing in favour of already released stuff. That's what upsets the fans.

For instance:

-U.S. remixes of She Drives Me Crazy
-Good Times And Bad
-Blue (Version)
-Suspicious Minds (7#8243; Mix)
-Prick Up Your Ears
-Funny How Love Is (7#8243; Mix)
-Ever Fallen In Love (Dub)
-Pull The Sucker Off

And what about the John Peel Sessions?

Like the House Of Love reissue, this could have easily been a 3-CD release for both FYC-albums.

Yes, a 3-CD release in the "House Of Love" reissue vein for both albums would be more likely indeed!
There's just too much bonus stuff left off.

Anyone have a (fairly) clean mp3 of the alternate version of Blue? The one I have is really scratchy from a bad vinyl source.

Thanks!
