Hey!

First off, most of the aforementioned songs are favorites of mine. Because I take the decade as a whole when it comes to quality vinyl collecting.

For me, I dislike immensely: homogenized vocalists who are purely commercialized. Sadly, it continues today (on TV).
I will not 'drop names' out of respect for the astonishingly long list of unfathomably superb new-wave records. Records which have largely been forgotten. To appreciate " good 80s" music is to exhibit your intelligence toward music in general.
Last week a few albums crossed my path cheap. One, Fischer-Z Lp could net ~25 bucks but I would never part with it.
In between disco and grunge rock lies my holy grail . . .

Good call on the first two! The first is used in holidays commercials mainly and anything else that needs an upbeat tone so it gets sodding used.

The second is really annoying and the amount of weeks it spent at number one makes me almost wish for that Bryan Adams single. Almost.

Both are staples of every cheap shitty 80s comp that can be found for a fiver in the local supermarket.

Taco? Never charted here and am ambivalent towards it.

have to agree on that Walking on Sunshine...never liked it

but how about Buster Poindexter - Hot Hot Hot, that's bad too, and what made it even worse is that it was a cover that was even more annoying than the original... Buster is worthy of top 10 worst

[/quote]I also hated "Walking on Sunshine" and was recently amazed to learn-- contrary to that song-- that Katrina & The Waves are a pretty decent band. Kimberly Rew was in The Soft Boys, so that bumped up his bonafides in my book.
