Awesome! They are coming to D.C. the next night, but we decided to make a weekend out of it and go to the NYC show, since we've never been to radio city music hall before. Should be amazing!!

I've heard that Numb is the 3rd single from Fundamental, and it should be out in October.

From the PSB web site:

"Parlophone/EMI have decided to delay the release of "Concert", the double-CD of Pet Shop Boys' Mermaid Theatre concert with the BBC Concert Orchestra, to October 23rd for manufacturing and contractual reasons.

On the same day, they plan to release the DVD of "Pet Shop Boys: A life in pop", the documentary which was originally shown on Channel 4 in the UK in May. The TV broadcast was less than an hour long whereas the DVD version is an expanded version, approximately two hours 20 minutes long, and is a far more comprehensive overview of Pet Shop Boys' lives and career. As well as Neil and Chris, it features interviews with Brandon Flowers, Jake Shears, Trevor Horn and Robbie Williams, amongst others.

October will also see the release of "Pet Shop Boys Catalogue", the illustrated book published by Thames and Hudson which documents the entire visual, design, video and staging output of Pet Shop Boys from 1984 to 2004. The book will also be published in the USA and in a German-language version in Germany (publication date to be confirmed).

There are no plans at present for USA releases of "A life in pop" or "Concert". "

HAPPY ANIVERSARY PETSHOP BOYS![8D] Petshop boys was first introduced here in MANILA wayback 1985 by WXB102. Yup![:D] I remember the first time I heard WESTEND GIRLS on WXB102 and I liked it already. Then, song by song from them were continued to be introduced on MANILA airwaves. It's nice to know that up to now they're still making music. Though. I don't anymore collect their NEW and RECENT stuffs I just appreciate hearing their current works! MORE POWER TO PETSHOP BOYS!![:D]

Yeah, that sounds awesome Don!
Here's the BBC radio broadcast of the Mermaid Theatre show earlier this year:

And Schwenko, I am still as puzzled by these "new version" releases as you are.

Have Pet Shop Boys released anything worthwhile in the last 10-15 years? I've listened to each album as it was released and have found nothing interesting for ages.

Not to say 'bad' because I do enjoy it, but nothing that has really excited me for a LONG time!

Obviously, I've been missing something!

But I do have to say that I'm glad that they are still out there, releasing music....
