Great song : http://webpages.charter.net/twc5964/11%20Track%2011.wma

"Action Woman" from The Cave Comes Alive.Any other recommendations from this bands discography ? This cd from what I understand is currently unavailable and I realize this is more borderline rock than anything alternative.I'm having regrets posting this here but would appreciate any opinions.

That's a great album. I was introduced to Lime Spiders through The Pagan Babies' cover of "Beyond The Fringe". The only other thing I have by them is a 26 track compilation called Nine Miles High 1983-1990. It's definitely worth getting.

"Action Woman" is actually a cover of an old Mpls band called The Litter.

Another old Mpls band )but not as old as The Litter) called The Hypstrz were well-known for thier cover of "Action Woman". The Hypstrz just had a reissued cd on Bomp that you might want to check out:

Ya know Ollie, like Grunch, you amaze me dude. I had no idea that was a cover tune. You informed me once of a Controllers tune (Jezebel),also being a cover by numerous bands in the 60's.

I wonder what the original sounds like ?

By the way,one person you dont see much on this board turned me onto the Lime Spiders cd:Borneojimy. The man is a godsend when it comes to music like this and hardcore punk !

I just ran into Ernie from The Hypstrz on Friday. He still can't believe that people outside of Minneapolis still care about them 30 years after the fact. Well, not really after the fact as they still play a few times a year as The Hypstrz. 3/4 of the band also perform as The Mighty Mofos.

If you bump into him again let him know someone else enjoyed thier tunes.Their name sounds familiar to me when I was on a buying spree of LP's back in the 80's.
