Halloween Music (including much Eighties...)

Postby hubcity » Tue Oct 31, 2006 1:19 am

That'd be today at Altrok Radio. (There are actually two "Bela Lugosi's Dead"s in the rotation...and only the cover is from the Eighties, to be technically correct.)

In addition to the regular rotation (beefed up today with our Halloween collection) we've got some specials on the stereo station:

- the All-Halloween FM Showcase has its web debut at about 1:30pm

- it's preceded at 11:30am by a rebroadcast of Ferris O'Brien's Halloween show from last week. (All times Eastern.)

We'll repeat the specials tonight as well, with Ferris at 8pm and the FM Showcase at 10pm.

Hope to get you linked up...just go to http://www.altrokradio.com and click the "listen now for free" link (or the "slower connections" link for the mono feed.)

Here's the playlist from last nights show. We usually play strictly punk and hardcore, but you have to make exceptions once in awhile.

You can listen to the show online at kfai.org go to "program archives" on the left, then look for "Radio Riot".

Looks like you hit the big ones - Bauhaus and Siouxsie. I went for The Damned's "Grimly Fiendish" this year, though. A bit of Rob Zombie might not have been uncalled for...
