I ordered this today, although I've already got a handful of compilations from The Furs. I enjoyed the Sony Music reissue of Midnight To Midnight from a few years back, so I'm expecting the same of the label for this set. Until Mirror Moves receives a good reissue, this will fit in somewhere.

Mirror Moves was my favorite Furs album. It's due for a major re-issue, no doubt. As for a new best of I'm pretty happy with my old one.

RE: Mirror Moves

I too would love to see a reissue...for those of us that grew up with The Ghost In You, Heaven, and Heartbeat as their intro to the band, it is long overdue. This should have been remaster/expanded when the first three LPs were reissued.

Apparently, the band dislikes this LP, so I wonder if that has anything to do with the delay...

Curiously, nothing from their final album, World Outside, which I feel was one of their best...no Don't Be A Girl, Until She Comes or Sometimes and another big college rock hit, Shock, is not here.

"All Of The Law" wins my vote for the most underrated song by The Psychedelic Furs. It's pretty cool to see it on the compilation.

I have this, and all of their remasters/expanded.....waste of $$$$ for me.

I amazed that this is an actual SONY release and not some reissue label like Demon, which i first thought.

[clarence]

I used to know the Sony guy that was (allegedly) in charge of the U.S. reissues of the first three and he said more Furs reissues (at that point - 2002? 2003?) were unlikely as the first three didn't sell for shit. As for this comp, what's the point? Doesn't look there's anything rare or unreleased on it, just the same classics that have been issued time & time again.

have no idea who the potential buyer should be + why he/she should buy that compilation now, considering there are quite a few Furs ones already out there ...
shame no company ever manages to release their videos (incl. the ones for Book Of Days + World Outside) on dvd - hell, I'd even buy another Greatest Hits to get them...
