I own three versions of the vinyl LP, including the original UK release and not a single CD version.
If you consider how many versions on CD there are you'd think one pressing would just copy the vinyl LP and call it a day.
All the information here is from Discogs.
Many versions list song lengths shorter or longer by a second or more, which may be the times taken from the CD or from a Discogs member copying that version from a previous release, which if the original was incorrect, so is that version as well.
Most CD versions of A Secret Wish have the opening track "Dream Within A Dream" clocking in at 9:08, when the original LP version is only 8:04
Jewel is often replaced with a version lasting 6:22 instead of 3:09.
The most unusual occurrences (to me) are the insertion of a 4:52 version of Frozen Faces between tracks 4 (Duel) and 5 (P-Machinery) and Dr. Mabuse(First Life) moved from track 7 to the end of the CD with a 10:41 version titled simply "Dr. Mabuse", replacing the final vinyl LP track "Last Word / Strength To Dream" altogether.
The closest CD release to the original UK LP vinyl release are these two US reissued CD's, which fail only that the last track "Last Word / Strength To Dream" is listed as one second shorter.
Please note that the CD back cover scans on Discogs of these two releases show incorrect track listings that list the similar variations mentioned above, which is why I never picked up a copy on CD because they showed the incorrect tracks.
