Did anyone check out any of the performances at the Galapagos art space/night club? I missed it, just curious....

Not me; no money, no time[:(]
Genesis P(orridge) lives in the Bronx the last I knew, so I'm surprised they haven't popped up more frequently.

BTW, the last time I was at Galapagos was Sunday Feb 12th 2006. The day of NYC's largest recorded snowfall (26 inches). I was supposed to see St Etienne screen their film Finisterre; but they couldn't land at JFK (closed)! Of course I called the venue before setting out, was told everything was still a go, only to show up and find out the reality/
But they (and I) made it to Irving Plaza the next night[:D]

The show Sunday night was great, it was a psychedelic 60s theme. Most people of course did not dress up for this occasion. I felt really connected to the music and stood right in front of Genesis the whole time who made lots of eye contact with me and sang to me during the sarcastic line "I like you, you're nice". I just smirked. Afterwards I met him and he seemed really cool.

The next night Monday night kind of sucked because the sound was boring and kind of like a lame rock n roll indie sound and I couldnt get into it. It was a transgender theme and only a few people dressed up. Genesis was not cool on this night and then I found out that someone had put psychedelic drugs in the band's drinks the night before, which explained I guess why he was so friendly previously. Oh well so much for meeting one of your idols.

Blah.
