I got there fifteen minutes before she started as was fortunate enough to get a seat at the front to watch her. This was here "tour and new album off the back of her greatest hits" show.

She came on stage with a harp player and a guitarist/flute player and should of known then that things were going to take a turn for a worse. Irish folk music isn't really to my taste and while it was pleasant enough at first it soon became boring and my mind wandered a lot during the 75 minutes she was on stage.

Hearing "8th Day" "Will You" and the rest of her hits rearranged for these instruments was not the most pleasant of listening experiences as all the fire and passion was sucked out of the songs leaving a limp mess. It has to be noted she has no stage presence whatsoever, walking off stage during long instrumental parts, only returning when she was due to sing.

I walked out during the "encore" and wish I did it sooner. If you want to keep your good memories of her, stick to the vinyl and CDs.
