I saw their last show here, a zillion years ago. Gang of Four and Public Enemy also played. It was awesome!

I am kind of burned on Sisters, though. I mean, how long can you listen to same few songs without anything new? And, those songs are LONG!!!!

None-the-less, I am psyched!!!

I was HUGE into the Sisters from about 1988-1994. Haven't listened to them since I sold my collection, but I just DL'd Enter The Sisters I & II and in my opinion have not really held up at all. It would be interesting to see them 2006 just to see what the dynamic of the band is. Eldritch cannot possible be deluded unough to think his music is still cutting edge and relevant.

The Sisters remain one of my favorite bands and if I were to sell my CD collection, they would be among the last to go. I wish, I could watch them before they disband for good![:p]

From the mid-80s to about... 94-ish, I listened to them heavily. I've seen them twice, here in NY in the 90s. They were OK... I should say, he was OK live. I actually think he could have been much bigger than he became, but his attitude ruined his career. He might be the most disliked guy in the music world, and that says a lot.

When I got an iPod a couple of years ago, I loaded up all my CDs. I hadn't listened to much Sisters in years, but I put it all on there with everything else. A few tracks from Floodland have held up, I still love Adrenochrome, and Good Things (the fast version) and a lot of the B-Side cover tunes. When I was a teen (centuries ago!), First and Last and Always was on very high rotation, but nothing on it really does it for me now.

Considering that lots of NW bands have disbanded and that those still "alive" are not releasing fantastic stuff, we could say the same thing vis a vis any given band. Personally I collect the entire library of XB102 and BM105 plus all the albums of specific bands: Siouxsie,The Sisters,The Mission UK, Gene Loves Jezebel, The Cure, The Smiths, Joy Division, DM, New Order, The Waterboys, The Mighty Lemon drops, The Cult, Bolshoi, Soft Cell, The Colourfield, The Adventures, The Railway Children etc, etc I never overplay a particular band and so I don't get tired of them. Furthermore in the case of The Sisters, they have a lot of records, official or bootlegs to discover and going CD hunting on ebay is always a thrill.
