I saw AFOS back in June and Mike put on an amazing show! Let me know if he decides to open his eyes at the show, I could not get a decent shot with his eyes open ... ugh but oh well the show was fantastic! He played at least one song from each album and a few new tracks which were OK but let me know what you thought of the show, have fun!

Uhhh... AFOS' members look old now... never seen recent pics of them and didn't know that they still tour.

Well... I know what I'd like to see next.[8D]

Ahh.. yes!! Could you review the show? That'd be great.

Actually, the only original member of AFOS is Mike Score (singer), the others, even though they did join him on reuniting the band on VH-1, do not tour with him. The hired musicians were very good though, it sounded very authentic, but only as much as a live show can. They played all the songs you'd expect to hear, "Space Age Love Song", "I Ran", "Wishing", "The More You Live The More You Love", etc. The only obvious one they did not play that I would have loved to hear was "Nightmares". On the whole, it was a good show, but I wish more people would have attended and supported them, I hate to see great new wave artists from the 80s struggle to fill up a venue.

And Devomaniac, you were absolutely right, with the hat on, it's hard to get a picture of him with the eyes opened.

I got "Nightmares" [:D]

I remember he opened up with "Modern Love Is Automatic"

Did he play anything from 'Dream Come True'? I was really hoping to hear "Who's That Girl (She's Got It)" but was very happy that he played "Remember David" from 'The Story Of A Young Heart' that is a great song! and was quite a surprise, I got to meet Mike after the show, nice guy! we talked a bit, he talked about releasing a DVD with all the conceptual music videos. Also a new studio album is supposed to be coming out, I really liked one of the new songs, though I cannot remember what it was called ... Airplane, Flight, Ship ... damnit! what was it? Sky ... something, maybe? ah, oh well ...

I believe I got 1 shot out of like 25 with his eyes slightly open, but oh well, I got some pretty sweet shots with him playing the synthesizer.

Thats mostly what my shots were, him front and center. I got a few good pics of the hispanic guy that plays lead guitar, (to show the guy who cuts my hair = he looks just like him, so i thought it was hilarious).
I would love to see a dvd come out with all of thier videos, since i work in an 80s club, and all we play is 80s videos, but obviously, the only one on every single compilation is I Ran, naturally.

BTW, When In Rome: Not very Good live. only one original member, (keyboardist: front left center) Thier vocalist is an American guy who looks like the guy from "Party Of Five" and is from Carrolton (North of Dallas), so my girlfriend and I came up with thier new band name: "When In Carrolton". The guy had spunk though, I just wish he wasn't trying to do the whole Eddie Vedder thing with the lyrics, lots of over accented 'R"s ya know? The Prrrrromise. It was funny.

Are they coming to Vegas at all? if so, I will be there. Too bad about this show, I would've been the 1st in line to see the show, as I'm a huge AFOS fan. Nightmares is my all time favorite by them.

I saw A Flock Of Seagulls back in 1984 when they were touring The Story Of A Young Heart albumn. They played in Toronto at the Concert Hall, it was one of the best shows I every saw. I had the oppertunity to see them again about 10 years later at a club in Mississauga ONT. called Entex, by that time the original line up was gone and it was just Mike Score left, but they still put on a fantastic show. I would like one day to see them again... They were and still are a truly great band. [:)]

Most of the 80's acts don't have a venue to get support on Radio.
the Devo/Furs/When in Rome show i saw a few months back changed venues and at best pulled 300 people. all others have been small dive bars. Sad, this is the last ride of alot of them. I tried to launch a 80's staion here in my market but the shelf life was only 2 years. By the time it all comes back we will all be 50

I see AFOS at an 80's reunion concert along with Missing Person's + devo and a few other bands. AFOS was very disappointing. Its ONLY the lead singer and some hair metal backup band, the lead singer has lost his accent and a bit of his voice. Not terribly good.
