The Perfect Concert Camera...

Postby Frau_Blucher » Tue Jul 25, 2006 7:34 am

...may have finally arrived. This may be irrelevant to some, but I think it'd be pretty exciting to a lot of concert-goer's. I love shooting concerts with digital SLRs at very high ISO's and no flash, with only the atmospheric stage lighting to illuminate the band. But obviously SLRs are impossible to carry into most places. So out comes the Fuji F30 which can shoot up to ISO3200 (realistically only to 1600)...but that's a huge leap over anything else on the market. A great review of it here for those social folks who like dragging cameras along...

Conclusions are on page 16. Warning that it's not a super-slim cam that you can sneak in. It's more full palm sized. But most small to medium venues (where we're more likely to see our types of acts) seem to have no problems cameras.

Hmmmm, I think I'll buy that (or something with similar specs) for my bro as a gift for passing the Bar Exam. He could use it either for concerts or for his mountain climbing escapades. Thanks for giving me an idea, Blir![8D]
