@ Blir, Philly and anybody else that might have felt offended:
I think I've always addressed to you in a quite polite way and haven't attacked anybody specifically or in a general way. I think it would be great if everybody could expose their POV on any matter without being insulted (as I've seen some people do here).
Sure I know the US is a very diverse nation, most countries are, and as I said in a previous post in this thread it's great that people have different ideas and a diverse viewpoints, that makes societies richer. And I have nothing against Americans, I know the government is one thing and the people other... I just don't like many of your government policies (as I don't like many other countries' policies, for example our former government's). Agressive and imperialist policies (of any government or country)only make the world more unstable and more dangerous. And of course all governments lie, but some lie more than others.

I was just showing that ALL countries are guilty of something. The French(booooo), the English, The Dutch, and The Spanish divided up the world between them for money. Millions were killed in the name of...money. So now other countries are doing it. Yes it is wrong. My point is that so are you and everyone else.

Sure all countries have done something wrong at any point in their history. But just because someone else does something wrong or bad doesn't mean you can or must also do it.
In the 15th century it was legal to claim as yours a discovered land, as it was perfectly accepted to fill a ship with black people from Africa to use them as slaves in cotton plantations in America or to massacre the indigenous population to get their lands and riches. Fortunately, things have changed and nobody is burnt alive anymore for "being a witch", or tortured in the Bastille,... Societies and countries evolve, death penalty was abolished in Europe, now workers have many rights, etc. The past can't be changed, but the present can be, so I think governments and people should try to avoid making the same mistakes and bad things done in the past.

Great for all the reasons you said. Great for the reasons Marv said. Every country is represented here because you get a chance to better yourself. I work with Jamaican, Haitian, Puerto Rican, Jews,Russians, and Indians. We all discuss this stuff all the time. But in the end they agree its better here. Not perfect but better.

That's funny, you know philly, there are many South and Centre Americans in Spain, also many Eastern Europeans, Africans, Asians... and they say its better in Spain than in their countries.
By the way, have you ever asked a Western European if the US is also better than their countries? I think you should come and visit Western Europe, there are lots of beautiful places to see and nice and interesting things to do here [8D]

So Zapatero is now friends with murderous leftists like Chavez, Castro, and Evo Morales instead of murderous rightists like Bush...ooooh, big difference. [}:)]

You call Evo Morales a murdeous leftist? Why? Because he defends indigenous' rights and doesn't want that big part of Bolivian society to live in poverty or because he nationalized Bolivian gas so that companies like Repsol (from Spain) don't steal it while leaving not a single Bolivar in the country?
