It only got up to 98 or 99 today, and it's supposed to be in the mid-70s overnight. I might have to break out my winter clothes.

I gave up yard work a year ago. Landscaper comes every other week. Best thing I ever did.

I got home from work yesterday and the radio said it was 99 degrees. I jumped in the pool--the tempature of the water was 94 degrees. NO RELIEF!!!!!!

Gross story time:
We helped some friends move into their new house on Saturday in the 106-degree heat. Their daughter has a pet frog that eats crickets. Her mom had taken her to PetSmart for crickets that morning, and the little girl forgot about them and left them in the car all afternoon.

Yes, they died, but here's the gross part: When we realized they weren't in the house and we found them in the car, they were liquified! I expected dead and crunchy or dead and limp. I didn't expect to find liquid crickets. A whole bag full of them! EEEEEWWWWWWWWW!

That reminds me of this recent story:

And yeah, the landscapers...why did'nt I hire them sooner? This is great.
And BMG? Liquid crickets? Beyond disgusting, lol [:D]
